What Tags Are

Tags:

  • Describe a contact

  • Group contacts logically

  • Are usually added automatically

Examples:

  • Lead

  • Client

  • Booked Call

  • Paid Customer

Where to See Tags

  1. Go to Contacts

  2. Open a contact profile

  3. Look for the Tags section

How Tags Are Added

Tags can be added:

  • Automatically (via system actions)

  • Manually (by you or your team)

In most cases, tags are added automatically.

When to Add Tags Manually

Manual tagging is useful when:

  • Making personal notes

  • Marking special cases

  • Identifying internal context

Avoid creating too many manual tags.

What Tags Should Not Be Used For

Do not use tags as:

  • A replacement for pipelines

  • A substitute for notes

  • A way to control automation unless instructed

If you are unsure whether a tag is safe to use, ask Emmi.
