Common Ways Contacts Are Created

A contact is created when someone:

  • submits a form

  • books an appointment

  • sends a message

  • makes a payment

  • is added manually by you or a team member

Each interaction updates the same contact record.


Step-by-Step: See Where a Contact Came From

  1. Go to Contacts

  2. Click on a contact name

  3. Look for:

    • creation date

    • source information

    • activity timeline

This helps you understand how the contact entered your system.


What Happens If the Same Person Interacts Again

If the same email address is used:

  • the system updates the existing contact

  • no new contact is created

This prevents duplicate records in most cases.
